Ton Lindhout was born in The Hague, The Netherlands. Nowadays he lives in Germany in the rural region of Emsland where he gets his inspiration during long walks with his Labrador Gino. All the different colours of the changing seasons, the endless horizon and, above that, towering clouds in the big wide sky... Maybe there is a landscape painter hidden in every Dutchman. You can tell he is a nature lover and like-minded artists he wants to share this.

EXHIBITION GALLERY AFTERDAAN 2, ALMERE

At this moment I have an exhibition in a small gallery in Almere, a town near Amsterdam (Look at www.afterdaan.nl) together with wonderful emo-objects from Margreet Heinsius. This gallery, managed by my friend Ivo Winnubst (by the way a wonderful portrait painter and a strong believer in figurative work), is his second gallery. The other one is situated in Elim a small village near Hoogeveen a place in the North.

Organized by the Erenus Art Gallery came the invitation for this International Painting Exhibition named ‘Instants’. Many members of the former Ferrara Collective, now embedded in Trevisan International Art (www.trevisanartinternational.com), had send paintings to Istanbul and some where there physically to enjoy the opening and the great atmosphere. Last year I was in a group-exhibition in the Art Domain Gallery in Leipzig/Germany. They have a contest called The Palm Art Award each year..

Last year, I received an invitation for the Biennale Internazionale dell’Arte Contemporanea, in Florence, December 1 - 9 2007. More than 800 artists and 2400 works of art were exhibited there. As usual we made new friends and saw old ones again. Thousands and thousands of visitors came from all over the world to see what’s going on in modern art at this moment.
